Alessio Arena
A songbook between Naples, Catalonia and Chile.

Alessio Arena, a Neapolitan writer and songwriter based in Barcelona, explores new landscapes within the Mediterranean songbook, including the experience of a journey through the Chilean desert and its music. His work intertwines popular song, social criticism and poetic resistance between Chile, Catalonia and Naples.
In his collaboration with Arena, Rocco Papìa plays seven-string guitar, charango, bouzouki and mandolin. He has also arranged and recorded string instruments for several songs, including «El hombre que quiso ser canción» with Miguel Poveda.
